I honestly like the fact that the tyres degrade quickly and so easily. Since there is no more refueling, this will add some excitement in my eyes. However, like everything in F1, they will somehow figure out how to ruin this and turn it into a Bridgestone replica that runs forever and we will be back to one pitstop per race. Couple that with the lack of passing, and F1 is back to being boring again.

Were you having tea and crumpets when you spelled tires with a y?

I'm interested to see how the tires do in Malaysia in the searing heat compared with the cool conditions they had in Melbourne.

I think the real solution is to get back to tire competition. You always see the development of technology slow dramatically when series get onto a single brand. I say tell the brands minimum and maximum durometer readings for Hard, Soft, Super Soft, and Rains and invite anyone who has the stones to try to sponsor a team and see if they have the technology to influence the outcome.
